A kitchen printer can be useful to inform the chef in the kitchen immediately about orders to start preparing. Once the order is made, a ticket automatically leaves this printer.
First of all, you need to have an Epson TM-T88V network printer.
If you don’t have a network printer, you can use a regular Epson TM-T88V printer, but you’ll have to change the connections card.
Once your network printer has been installed (and shared in the network), follow these instructions.
1. Open FAST Configurator and go to Setup > Devices. Add a device by pressing on the ‘+’-symbol.
Select the network printer by filling in the exact name.
You can find this name in the printer properties, through the devices and printers in Windows.
2. After the printer has been added in the Configurator, you go to Products > Print routing, and you fill in the printer details there by again pressing ‘+’ first.
3. Now that the printer has been fully configured, we need to indicate which products have to be printed on a ticket for the chef. This can be done in two ways:
3.1. On product level
3.2. On product group level
In a product, you can use the indicated drop-down box in the image below.
3.2. Product group
In a product group, you can configure it with the indicated drop-down box.
